Students with prior pottery experience may take the opportunity to improve their throwing skills and create more complex forms by altering, cutting, and incorporating handmade pieces into their works. The instructor will also introduce basic sculpture and hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab-building techniques to new students, while advanced hand-builders will concentrate on combined forms and explore the possibilities of decoration.
