MATTHEW MULHOLLANDBorn and raised in California, Matthew received as degree in Fine Arts at the University of Oregon in 2003. Challenged by the material qualities of working with clay, Matthew made use of his time in the University program to immerse himself in this difficult material. Matthew has worked in a broad range of other media including: oil, pastel, watercolour and glass, and will always be tempted by beautiful, unfamiliar materials. Traveling for long stretches in Europe and Central America between stints in Oregon, Matthew has recently settled in Montréal. Matthew has a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Alberta, and is happy to continue his pursuit of art-making and teaching at Creative Boost. Matthew has been represented by the Blue Spruce Gallery and Epitome Gallery in Oregon, as well as creating commercial work for artisanal boutiques in the Pacific Northwest. |
