YOGA TEACHERS

Laura Broadbent and Thea Metcalfe are devoted to encouraging a creative, dynamic atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to mindfully explore their limitations while honoring and playing the unique edge of Yoga. We want you to enjoy your Yoga and your body, feeling open, stress-free and vibrant.

We have both experienced yoga’s transformational power and are passionate about sharing our yoga as an offering to the Montreal community in a warm, supportive, non-competitive and unique atmosphere where we can grow our practice, strengthen our bodies, open our hearts and still our minds.

LAURA
Laura Broadbent is a certified yoga instructor who teaches a mixture of hatha, vinyasa flow, and ashtanga yoga. Her classes are creative, dynamic and challenging with a distinct focus on pranayama (breath work) and meditation. Classes combine both active and passive work, and effectively re-energize the body, calm the mind and nervous system, and cultivate an understanding of the inner and outer functions of yoga. As a practicing artist, Laura's experience with yoga and meditation have also nuanced her creative endeavors.

THEA
Thea Metcalfe
is grateful to have been guided to the practice of Yoga ten years ago and to be sharing her passion and love as a teacher today. Coming from an art background, Thea is inspired by the creative and expressive possibilities of yoga. She incorporates a playful, compassionate and disciplined approach in her teaching style, and infuses her classes with music and enthusiasm. Linking movement and breath, Thea hopes to make students feel comfortable and challenged with a blend of active and uplifting asana, core work, intention, and the heart-opening surrender to transformation.
